Little Cool School is looking for a part-time assistant teacher to support co-lead teachers and work with up to 12 children aged 2-4. The assistant teacher will support during afternoons and for the after-school program.

The teacher will assist in developing creative, arts- and play-based learning experiences that nurture a child’s growth and development, and that stimulates curiosity, invites socialization, and supports playful learning experiences.

Essential duties and responsibilities include and are not limited to:

• Assisting and collaborating with the Lead Teacher(s)
• Contributing to a physical environment that promotes learning and curiosity
• Maintaining a safe and clean environment
• Monitoring the safety and well-being of all children
• Maintaining an open, friendly, and cooperative relationship with all children, families, and staff

Experience:

• Previous experience working with young children or preschoolers
• Familiarity with childhood development principles and practices
• Experience working with neurodivergent children a plus
• Conversant in Spanish, French, Russian or ASL a plus
• Experience with arts-based education a plus

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
