Key Responsibilities
- Provide educational leadership and management oversight of personnel in implementing educational programming, curriculum, instruction, safety, and district policies and procedures within the special education department.
- Coordinate the hiring of staff and evaluate personnel.
- Implement and oversee budget(s) for the special education department.
- Coordinate and implement district initiatives.
- Perform community/public relations activities.
- Effectively communicate with all stakeholders to address and resolve issues, concerns, and questions.
- Must hold a valid Director of Special Education license in Minnesota.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire, and collaborate with a diverse team of educators and staff.
- Strong commitment to the improvement of learning outcomes for all students, particularly those in special education.
- Proven experience in educational leadership, budget management, and staff evaluation.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with various stakeholders effectively.
