What are the responsibilities and job description for the Aftercare Director position at Little Flock Christian School?
We are looking for a committed Aftercare Director to complement our qualified workforce of educators. As a director at a Christian School, you will lead the Aftercare staff and children with a Christlike spirit. You will be responsible for preparing and implementing an aftercare program, according to the school’s requirements. It will be fundamental to support teachers to supervise and instruct students while also helping them develop their personalities and skills. The ideal candidate will be passionate for the job with an ability to reach out to staff and students and create a relationship of mutual trust. They will know how to create a staff schedule, help to organize class activities, and develop a program that is safe, developmentally appropriate, and fun for the students.
1. SAFETY
Ø Ensure the safety of the children at all times.
Ø Understand and follow playground rules.
Ø Performing minor nursing duties whenever required using the first aid kit provided. The director is expected to notify both the School director and the parents if a serious incident happens that warrants this measure. An injury report must be filled immediately and you must notify the School Director.
2. SCHEDULE
Ø Equip teachers to plan for organized themes and activities, encouraging them to prepare all materials in advance including making copies, preparing any crafts, etc. so that they are always with the children.
Ø Establish a daily schedule for all Aftercare Classes.
Ø Ensure constant care and supervision at all times.
3. AFTERCARE ATTENDANCE
Ø Director will be responsible to ensure all students in aftercare are checked in and out on Brightwheel. No exceptions. The head count must always be correct.
4. PROCEDURES
Ø HELP Teachers to develop procedures for walking in hallway, eating snack, moving to designated area, asking to use bathroom, where and how to place book bags, etc.
Ø Help Teachers to maintain order and discipline within the group.
Ø Inform Director about students who need to be charged for late pick up.
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
