Job Description
- Assist individuals, families, and groups in defining the problems that they’re facing
- Conduct clinical assessments by gathering information related to client’s symptoms and history to accurately diagnose clients based on DSM-5 TR criteria
- Create individualized treatment plans that will help the client move past their problems and towards their goals
- Educate clients on the problems they’re facing and help them to develop healthier coping methods for dealing with them
- Maintain detailed note documentation to track the progress of clients. Use this information to modify treatment plans as needed
- Attend clinical meetings/trainings and supervisions (if applicable) as required
- Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field
- Full or Provisional licensure as Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Psychologist (LP) or Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist (LCAS)
- Previous experience as a counselor is preferred
- Excellent interpersonal skills and high standards of professionalism, ethics, and confidentiality
- Knowledge of the best practices for treating a variety of problems that individuals may be experiencing
