Little One’s Day Out is seeking an Afternoon Preschool Staff Member for the 2024-2025 school year.

Hours are 1:00pm-4:30pm Monday-Friday

(Position can be split into separate 2- or 3-day positions. Please note availability when applying.)

Candidates must love working with children ages 2-5 years old in a Christian environment. We are looking for someone dependable, hardworking, patient, and friendly.

Our school year begins August 26th and ends May 16th. Little One’s Day Out is closed in conjunction with the Columbia Public School calendar.

Responsibilities of our Afternoon Staff include, but are not limited to:

-Active Supervision of up to 10 children ages 2-5 years old during indoor/outdoor playtime, while teaching appropriate social/emotional skills.

-Active Supervision/Monitoring of nap time.

-Active Supervision/Monitoring of snack time.

-Assisting in the closing/cleaning duties of the preschool.

Substitute hours are also available during our normal hours of 8:30-1:30pm, on an as needed basis. Substitute availability is not required for the Afternoon Position. During regular school hours, substitutes will assist teachers within the classroom to implement lesson plans, maintain classroom management, maintain active supervision to keep children safe and healthy, assist with developmentally appropriate lessons, assist in preparation of daily snacks, and assist with general cleaning of the preschool. Qualified substitutes may also be utilized to cover a lead teacher role during an absence.
