Position: (2) - Victim Advocate (FT- Regular- Family Services Department)
This is a Grant Funded position.
Summary: The primary function of a victim advocate is to provide cultural direct services to Native and non-Native victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence, stalking, teen dating violence, human trafficking, and child sexual assault. Pursuant to funding provided by federal grant award(s). This position will provide support, advocacy, referral, safety planning, crisis intervention, judicial advocacy, and other identifying needs. The advocate works collaboratively with other Native and non-Native domestic violence and sexual assault agencies to ensure seamless response to survivors’ needs.
Employment Qualifications: Minimum Necessary Qualifications -
A qualified candidate offers:
· Bachelor’s Degree in social work, sociology, psychology, criminal justice, human services, or related fields. Equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered; and
· Minimum of one year experience providing victim advocacy, direct services, or crisis intervention/mental health services; and
· Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal required;
· Must be willing to work flexible hours; and
· Possess organizational skills; and able to multi—task to handle multiple various projects; and
· Must have excellent written, verbal, and computer skills; and must be a self-starter; and
· Able to adhere to strict standards of confidentiality; and
· Superior performance in the selection process as determined at the sole discretion of the LRBOI Hiring Manager, including but not limited to all of the following: any pre-employment interviews, skills testing, credentialing, drug screening, background investigations, reference checks and previous work history, passing a pre-employment drug test and background investigation, possession of a valid Driver’s License throughout employment and being insurable under the Tribe’s insurance policy.

Pay Grade: NE9 Background Check: Extensive Status: Non-exempt/bi-weekly pay
Rate: $18.87 - $23.62 – Commensurate with Verified Qualifications
