Job Overview : The Investigator is responsible to conduct a comprehensive background on applicants to determine eligibility for licensure to fulfill requirements of the National Indian Gaming Commission and set forth by the Gaming Commission.

Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the enactment of the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act (IGRA), SMSC Gaming Ordinance, Gaming Commission Regulations, National Indian Gaming Commission (NIGC) Regulations, and Tribal / State Compacts, along with inner departmental policies and procedures.

Responsible for completion of a comprehensive background investigation to include verifications and submissions for data to various local, state and federal agencies.

Reviews all documentation and completes an eligibility determination. Generates and submits a Notification of Results (NOR) to the Commission for signature and final suitability.

Prepares and securely submits NORs to the NIGC. Processes NIGCs final determination of the licenses. Execute archival scanning and filing of all Licensing documents accordingly.

Job Requirements :

Reflects MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING, CERTIFICATION and EXPERIENCE required in order to meet the expectation of this job :

• High School diploma or GED; a minimum 3 years of casino gaming industry experience.
• Possess strong administrative, organizational and communication skills.
• Working knowledge of computers, word processing and other office equipment required.
• Successfully complete and pass an extensive background investigation and meet the stands of a gaming license.
• Must complete CJIS training within the first week of employment.
