Little Spurs Autism Center is Hiring an Intake Specialist Near San Antonio, TX

Intake Specialist
Status: Full-time
Location: 24200 W I-10 Frontage Rd San Antonio TX 78257
Salary: $24.00 hourly plus monthly bonus opportunities
Overview:
Little Spurs Autism Centers is seeking an Intake Specialist that will work with both our Autism Centers in Leon Springs and Westover Hills. We are searching for a motivated individual who is excited to help make a difference in children’s lives. Working closely with the Regional Director and Clinical Team, this team member will take charge of managing and owning our growing client pipeline and all client intake functions.
What You Need (Qualifications):
  • High school graduate or equivalent required
  • Experience working with insurance required
  • Passionate, Highly Organized, and Driven
  • Experience with robust practice management/EMR system, preferably Leading Reach and Central Reach
  • Computer literacy with both keyboard, printer, and fax machine.
  • Basic proficiency in the English language, spelling and arithmetic is required.
  • Spanish language proficiency preferred.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines & regulations preferred
The Nitty Gritty (Day to Day):
  • Serve as the face and voice of Little Spurs Autism Centers by answering all incoming client and referral inquiries within 24-48 hours.
  • Manage the intake process from start to finish, including gathering appropriate documentation, scheduling initial assessments, and submitting ongoing authorization requests and reauthorization requests.
  • Work closely with the Clinical Team to ensure smooth process for all incoming clients, including a warm hand-off to the Center Manager.
  • Stays in touch with referring providers to provide status updates.
  • Providing status reports to the Regional Director on a regular basis.
  • Ensures that all required documents are completed and that appropriate signatures are obtained to protect the rights and financial integrity of the patient and the facility prior to client starting services.
  • Participates in and contributes to the improvement of operational performance.
  • Works closely with the Insurance Verification Specialist to ensure all insurance documentation is accurate and correct.
  • Takes detailed notes of all activities.
  • Follows standard procedural guidelines to work with clients, medical records personnel, providers, department personnel, vendors & other clinic office personnel.
