Working directly and collaboratively with the Development team, this position supports the development efforts of LTBHS, focusing on social media, marketing, communication and community events while promoting the organization’s mission.

• Cultivate positive and productive internal and external relationships. Serve as an excellent ambassador for LTBHS, helping donors and potential donors connect with opportunities that matter to them and LTBHS

• Work with the Development Team to develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising plan that employs a variety of strategies including, but not limited to, online giving, donor recognition and engagement, major gifts, corporate gifts/sponsorships, planned giving, and fundraising events (including enewsletters and direct mail).

• Serve as a courageous front-line solicitor who will identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward event attendees and sponsors appropriately and deliberately

• Develop an online presence, including but not limited to the website and social media. Takes lead on and manages all social media presence for the organization, ensure posts are consistent and regular (ie. Facebook, Instagram, TikTok)

• Conduct outreach to the community including serving as a representative of LTBHS and coordinating staff or volunteer tabling/participation at suitable community events

• Create marketing and communications plans to increase LTBHS donors and followers to ensure ongoing support, awareness, engagement, and education in collaboration with the Development team

• Assist with developing and distributing email newsletters and pet magazines

• Assist with developing and distributing press releases and public service announcements

• Assist with managing LTBHS website to ensure accuracy and relevancy of information

• Assist with the fulfillment and reporting for grants

• Works with Animal Care team to ensure adoptable pets have updated photos online

• Work fundraising events (including evening hours and weekends)

• Keep up with emerging best practices and significant developments and trends within the field of development/fundraising and animal welfare

• Work in accordance with department SOPs

• Other duties as assigned

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Internship

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
