Overview
The Director of Administration will facilitate deep engagement in the mission of the Little Traverse Bay Humane Society and serve as a key member of the Leadership Team. Essential functions include exceptional internal and external customer service, attention to detail, and the ability to uphold high standards of compliance and organization. Working directly with the Executive Director and Leadership Team to set overall organizational policies and priorities, the Director of Administration will consider and analyze the implications of proposed administrative actions and decisions on the whole of the organization. This position will work in partnership with the Executive Director along with the Director of Finance to manage all administrative functions. He or she will play a key role in maximizing the efficiency of the administrative role in defining and implementing the infrastructure/systems needed to support substantial growth. The director will participate in strategic planning, onboarding, professional development initiatives, and compliance standards in support of organizational expansion.

Qualifications
Able to maintain an open mind regarding changes and be willing to learn, implement, and teach new protocols. Able to quickly adjust focus and shift priorities based on needs. Able to understand and communicate using appropriate language. Able to work efficiently and calmly under challenging conditions; demonstrate flexibility with work assignments and tasks. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office; familiarity with Impromed or other shelter and veterinary software systems a plus. Excellent communication skills, including both written and oral communication. Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills. Must be able to bend, stand, lift 50 pounds frequently, and engage in repetitive motions.
Previous experience working in an administrative role and in leadership with strategic planning highly desired.
