Join our team as a dedicated Preschool Teacher, where you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on young minds and create a nurturing learning environment. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a passion for early childhood education.
Job Description:
The Preschool teacher is responsible for providing a safe and developmentally appropriate preschool program in accordance with all Community Care Licensing and Little Works Of Art Children Center policies and procedures.
The Preschool Teacher will be respectful of children and parents, and ensure that equipment and facilities are clean, safe and well maintained.
Duties:
-Create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for toddler and preschool-aged children based on the goals and general curriculum plan of Little Works Of Art Children’s Center.
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow.
-Develop activities that introduce all academia concepts through a developmental, sensory process; adhering to a ‘no worksheet’ environment.
-Build children’s esteem.
- Ensure the children’s safety through constant supervision with awareness of proper teacher vs. child ratios in the classroom not just during lessons but during nap and coverage for breaks and lunches.
-Provide adequate curriculum, and activities for age-appropriate developmental skill building according to the program philosophy through games, songs and storytelling.
- Proper maintenance of equipment is essential, make sure all unsafe objects, broken toys are removed and out of children’s reach.
-Be familiar with health and safety emergency procedures.
- Use effective classroom management techniques to ensure a positive and productive learning environment.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns or updates.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a cohesive and supportive team environment.
-Creating/Maintaining development charts of children through photos, documentation and the children's artistic creations.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom/bathroom.
Experience:
-Requirements / Qualifications
Mandatory minimum of 12 ECE (Early Childhood Education) Units along with completion of Community Care Licensing Requirements.
