Living Tree Estates is Hiring a Caregiver Near Greenville, WI

Living Tree Estates is looking for dedicated, compassionate people to join our team in caring for our 40 residents! We are a family owned CBRF in Greenville WI.

Commitment to include: 12-40 hours per week. Days/PM's/NOC's. Days worked are flexible. Every other weekend and holiday is required.

Benefits Offered: Supplemental insurance available for eligible employees.

Shift Differential: PM's-$1.00/hr NOC's-$2.00/hr

Medication Certification/Lead Differential $1.00/hr

Position Summary:

To provide daily health and living assistance to elderly residents.

Essential Duties Include the Following: (Other duties may be assigned)

  • Offering personal resident care throughout day and night, including assistance with appearance, bathing, dressing, toileting, walking, sitting, standing/getting up, eating/drinking, and any other needs as they may arise.
  • Providing attention to resident’s overall medical needs, such as calling physicians, pharmacists, and/or family members to convey concerns, schedule appointments and communicate changes as needed.
  • Working and communicating with other Care Staff Members, Nursing Administrators, and other co-workers to ensure that a resident is cared for with the utmost level of responsibility and respect.
  • Providing appropriate communication with family members or responsible persons while maintaining a resident’s right to privacy.
  • Administering daily medications accurately if authorized to do so. Charting medication given, date, time, etc. in resident log.
  • Assisting with meals. This could include helping and socializing with residents at meal times, setting up, serving meals, and cleaning up. Occasionally, the cook may need help with meal preparation or in a cook’s absence; the entire meal service would be the responsibility of Care Staff Members.
  • Cleaning of the facility, resident rooms, and employee areas.
  • Planning and facilitating resident activities and events.
  • Offering support, encouragement, acts of kindness and respect to residents through interpersonal communication and individualized attention.
  • Following company policy and procedures.
  • Transporting residents to and from physician appointments and/or off-site events, if requested.
  • Assisting co-workers whenever they need help with resident care or other tasks.
  • Ensuring the facility is secure by monitoring persons entering/leaving the facility, watching for suspicious activity, and utilizing all security measures. Be alert and awake at all times throughout shift.
  • Responding to any emergency by following action plans. Remain calm and professional throughout.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Communicate concerns or suggestions to administrator/supervisor.
  • Attends company meetings, occasionally on-site during work hours or participates in online CEU program as directed. May require an occasional meeting before or after regular hours, on or off-site.
  • Attends authorized training programs as requested.
  • Works over-time when requested (compensation at 1 ½ times regular rate of pay in excess of 40 hrs per wk)

Work Relationship and Scope:

Reports directly to the shift lead or nursing administrator. Works closely and consistently with other care providers and staff members, residents, their family members and loved ones. Works occasionally with physicians, nurses, pharmacies and vendors.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • High school graduate or equivalency
  • Completion of training under the HFS 83 and in accordance with Wisconsin State Law
  • Requires excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrates a pleasant, compassionate and helpful personality when working with residents and their families
  • Ability to write legibly and communicate clearly
  • Can effectively and efficiently use computer programs either independently or upon completion of training
  • Ability to plan, prioritize and organize daily tasks and resident needs
  • Can work under pressure, stay calm if a crisis arises, and carry out Emergency Action Plans
  • Analyzes problems and finds solutions to resident requests in a manner that is efficient, yet satisfactory
  • Makes logical decisions, carries them out, and follows-up with feedback when needed
  • Must approach every aspect of the job with a professional and positive attitude
  • Must be self-motivated and willing to work as a team player
  • Complete confidentiality regarding proprietary information in every aspect of the job

Working Conditions:

Work is performed in a pleasant, caring and professional environment. May require occasional travel for transporting residents, training functions or meetings.

Physical Requirements:

Work requires various periods throughout the day of standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, light lifting and reaching. Occasional two-person resident transfer may be necessary but is not frequent.
