LM Gear, a division of Anderson Cook Inc. is Hiring a Quality Manager Near Chesterfield, MI

LM Gear Company is seeking a hands on, energetic individual to help lead the Quality Department and the organization's continuous improvement initiatives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Responsible for both current production and new product launch quality activities.

. Direct supervision of the quality department including selection, hiring, and training &
performance evaluations.

. Educate, train, and coach employees by identifying relevant quality training needs.

. Drive continual improvement in quality systems and processes to ensure customer
expectations are consistently met.

. Management representative ensuring proper implementation and strict compliance to
IATF 2016:16949 and customer specifics.

. Manage APQP and PPAP requirements within the quality team to achieve successful
quality objectives.

. Manage supplier quality issues, as well as calibration and lab activities.

. Lead the problem solving activities internally, at the Customer, and in support of the
suppliers to identify root cause and drive permanent corrective actions.

. Monitor customer portals, report quality KPI's and customer scorecards and their related
corrective/preventive actions to leadership.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Engineering, or related discipline; or equivalent in Quality Management experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

Strong knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA).

Must be very strong in problem solving, root cause analysis, and permanent corrective action implementation.

Metal machining experience preferred.

IATF lead auditor certification preferred.
