LMC is Hiring a Director of Sales and Client Services Near Boston, MA

LMC is partnered with one of the leaders in Smart Building Services who are seeking a Director of Client Services.

The role involves developing new business, generating sales leads, and servicing existing accounts. Key responsibilities include lead cultivation, aligning services with customer objectives, responding to RFPs, providing fee estimates, and supporting business development and marketing efforts.

Main Tasks

The Director of Client Services will:

  • Educate clients on smart building concepts and methodology.
  • Drive discussions to define business goals and engagement success.
  • Present sales content and address objections.
  • Develop scopes of work and manage procurement processes.
  • Align organizational education around smart building principles.
  • Set and manage customer expectations.
  • Develop account plans with the delivery team.
  • Handle account escalations in support of Consultants.
  • Manage work efforts and quantify resource requirements.
  • Support the services team in expanding accounts and renewing services.

Required Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Skills to navigate customer business challenges.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Outcome-focused approach to business development.
  • Problem-solving abilities with simplified approaches.
  • Customer expectation management and project status communication.
  • Understanding of building design, construction, operations, and basic IT, OT, and cybersecurity principles.
  • Ability to translate technical investments into business value propositions.
  • Ability to work independently and remotely.
  • Effective communication across multiple organizational levels, including C-suite.
  • Capacity to develop opportunities beyond the initial scope.

Experience and Certificates

  • Prior consulting or sales experience in commercial or institutional real estate services.
  • BS Degree in Information Technology, Business, Management, Economics, Engineering, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge in professional service organization operations, systems thinking, and problem-solving.
  • Expertise in at least one of the following: building technology systems, facility management, construction management, IT, OT, business management, program management, or cybersecurity.
  • Consulting skills including presentation and communication techniques.
  • Industry knowledge in Design and Construction, Commercial Real Estate, IT, OT, Energy Conservation, Program Management, Consulting, and Professional Services.
