Title: Purchasing and Warehouse Manager - LMG Construction

Join LMG Construction, a leading KCMO commercial plumbing subcontractor and pipe and equipment supplier, as our Purchasing and Warehouse Manager. This critical role centers on managing our extensive inventory and refining our purchasing operations to support large-scale commercial plumbing and pipe projects. We are looking for a professional with a strong background in warehouse management and purchasing within the construction sector to help streamline our processes and enhance operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of our onsite warehouse, including inventory management and organization.
• Implement and manage electronic inventory systems to track and report inventory levels, deliveries, and discrepancies.
• Drive company vehicles for material delivery to various construction sites as needed.
• Manage and execute purchase orders, maintaining strong relationships with suppliers.
• Learn and efficiently use our purchasing software to enhance and streamline purchasing processes.
• Assist in forecasting supply needs based on project requirements and inventory turnover.
• Coordinate with project managers and site foremen to ensure timely and accurate material deliveries.
• Maintain compliance with safety and regulatory standards within the warehouse and during transport.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years experience in warehouse management or purchasing, preferably in the construction or related industry.
• Strong computer proficiency, especially in inventory management software and Microsoft Office.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record, with ability to operate company trucks.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a proven track record of maintaining supplier relationships.
• Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new software and operational procedures.
• Ability to lift and maneuver heavy equipment/materials as needed.

Desirable:

• Experience in the plumbing and HVAC industry.
• Certifications related to logistics, supply chain management, or inventory control.
