Rural LISC was established in 1995 and currently serves 140 partner organizations in 49 states and Puerto Rico, comprising a service area of more than 2,400 rural counties. Our mission statement captures our vision and approach:

Position Description
The national rural program of Local Initiatives Support Corporation (Rural LISC) seeks an Assistant Program Officer (APO) to support program design and implementation in rural places nationwide with a focus on building the capacity of place-based nonprofits to contribute to community strategies. The APO will become familiar with LISC's suite of services and will support outreach and engagement to the Rural LISC partner network, enabling their access to resources and services to support local community development efforts, with a particular focus on LISC's broadband (working with rural communities to build solutions to affordable broadband access for residents) and digital equity programs (programs for residents to increase digital skills, access to devices, and connection to low-cost internet programs).

Compensation
LISC offers a competitive salary ($57,200 - $71,440) and an excellent benefits package. Salary commensurate with experience and location.
Actual salaries may be based on several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications.
