ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLES

At Market Source Restaurant Supply, we are a family-owned business since 1986 that values our employees and has low turnover. We sell restaurant equipment and supplies wholesale as a distributor and we also do full design projects for any commercial kitchen. We value dependability, integrity, and honesty above all else and require these qualities especially in our accounting staff. We will require references who can validate your previous experience.

In this position, the candidate would be responsible for providing financial, administrative, and clerical support by ensuring the company receives payments for goods and services. Also, this position calls for properly recording the transactions by posting receipts, verifying transactions, and resolving discrepancies according to established policies and procedures in an efficient, timely and accurate manner.

We are looking for someone who can do the following:

-Ability to enter deposits into the system and decipher which type and what account to apply it to

- Ability to multi-task, pay attention to details and honor deadlines

-Ability to stop and re-direct to handle more pressing needs, then return to what you were working on

-Ability to train and recall information: listen, to perform the task and then be independent

-Ability to be flexible and patient as the learning curve can be high in wholesale distribution

Qualification requirements:

• Must have a commute less than 30 minutes
• 3 years specifically accounts receivables
• Distribution experience preferred
• Associates Degree preferred
• Two work references - non-family members & can be contacted
• Customer service and negotiation skills
• Qualities - Team player, sense of humor, integrity, honesty, confidentiality, accuracy/detail and stress management ability
  • Proven to be trustworthy
• Knowledge of general accounting principles, regulatory standards, and compliance requirements
• Ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Outlook skills
• Ability to learn accounting software system – computer literate
• Excellent data entry skills
• Demonstrates a sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines under pressure
