JOB SUMMARY:
Our Morning shift and weekend dinner shifts are available. Part time also available. We are looking to hire a versatile all around excellent cook. Someone who can handle all stations. We are hiring 3 members to join our team that can cook in accordance to our current menu, has impeccable taste and cooking abilities, and has a big love for food! We are looking to hire someone who treats everyone in the kitchen and on the team equally. Must Have: A positive Attitude A leader in the kitchen that is also a great team player. Easily replicate current menu. Sharp, quick, and pays attention to plating details. Bring new creative ideas for menu updates and new recipes. Have working knowledge of NY health codes Must have ability to spot and resolve problems quickly and efficiently. Must be able to delegate many kitchen tasks simultaneously Knowledge of kitchen equipment Cooks with a sense of urgency without compromising food quality Must Maintain consistency. Must have fine dinning experience. Nice To have: (Not a must) Healthy food cooking experience such as Gluten-free, Dairy-free, Paleo, Vegan, Vegetarian, etc. We are looking to train and hire ASAP! REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:
Proven experience as line cook (2 years in commercial kitchen preferred)
Knowledge of health and safety procedures in a kitchen
Manual dexterity able to operate cutting tools and kitchen utensils
Team player with good communication skills and a positive attitude
Patient with an ability to stay positive under pressure
Prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, lifting products and supplies weighing 50 pounds.
Food handling NYC certification not required but is a plus
High school diploma or equivalent is desirable but not required
