Job Description

Join Lockheed Martin's dynamic team working on the cutting edge of aerospace technology. We provide training systems for the world's most advanced aircraft, including the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter.
The Work
As an Integrated Engineering Associate Manager on the F-35 Training System, this individual will:
•Lead a cross-functional diverse group of employees to deliver one of the most advanced training systems supporting both domestic and international customers.
•Be a manager within the Pilot Training Devices (PTD) Visual Display Systems (VDS) organization supporting the F35 program working primarily with Visual Display Systems, Image Generators, and Virtual Environments for virtual simulation pilot training devices.
•As a functional manager, this individual is responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions for a combined group of Imagery & Displays, Geospatial, Systems, and Software Engineers.
•Be responsible for guiding the team through a continued cultural transformation from classical engineering groups to a combined Integrated Engineering group
•Will have a program direct role to be defined upon being hired to best utilize their skillset

As a Manager you will be expected to facilitate the deployment and use of best practices, tools, and processes, with a Digital Transformation focus, on our programs and work with the Engineering Program Managers (EPMs) to ensure programs are staffed properly and the organization's staff is meeting all program and business commitments.

Basic Qualifications
•Proven Experience in Image Generation. Visual Display Systems and/or Geospatial Process and Tools for virtual simulation.
•Must have an active Secret security clearance
•Demonstrated leadership skills and behaviors that align with the Full Spectrum Leadership Imperatives
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•Experience planning and coordinating system development in a team-oriented environment
•Experience across the System Development Life Cycle, including with an Agile Methodology
Desired skills
•Familiarity with functional Engineering processes, including performance appraisals, promotion planning, employee mentoring, and hiring
•Demonstrated experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite
•Specific training in Leadership/Management and related topics
•Experience with Image Generator integration into virtual training systems
•Experience designing and integration of display systems for virtual simulation
•Familiarity with Multi-Spectral Database (virtual environment) development for virtual simulation
•Experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), 3D Modeling, Remotely Sensed Imagery, or Elevation modeling
•Experience developing cost estimates for proposals
•Experience Leading the development of virtual environments for virtual simulation.

Ability to work remotely
Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Colorado Pay Statement
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Washington or Washington DC is $100,400 - $192,500. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
Premium Pay Statement
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $115,500 - $217,500. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
