Job Number 667235BR Description:This Visual Communications Associate Manager provides strategic and tactical leadership for the Marketing and Tradeshows graphic design team, which focuses primarily on internal and external efforts related to advertising, marketing, tradeshows and employee-facing campaigns and initiatives. This leader will ensure that their team's efforts align with corporate strategies and Aeronautics' key business objectives. They must have proven experience in the creative media disciplines with a focus on graphic design, and have demonstrated leadership abilities. Key Responsibilities:
• Supports the Visual Communications strategy and vision that aligns with the overarching Corporate Communications operational strategy
• Works closely with Marketing Communications, Employee and Executive Communications, and stakeholders to shape project requirements and provide a consistent, strategic brand presence that supports key business objectives
• Partners with the creative strategist and creative director to ensure a full understanding of strategic priorities, opportunities and challenges to lead the team to provide best-in-class creative solutions
• Partners with project managers to review day-to-day operations to ensure that assignments and project schedules are on track and adjusted as needed
• Manages and mentors team members to ensure that they are aligned with the company and corporate strategy
• Develops strategic thinkers/trusted advisors for the team while growing their skills to meet changing and emerging customer needs
• Proactively engages in talent planning, recruitment, and the professional and technical development of team members
• Holds team members accountable by conducting performance assessments, gathering peer and stakeholder feedback, and providing recognition and disciplinary actions as needed in a virtual-and-in-person team environment
• Ensures that staffing is maintained at the appropriate level to meet customer needs and balance team members' workloads
• Assists the communications manager with prudent fiscal planning and oversight, meeting all Visual Communications budgetary requirements (internal labor funding, training, travel, hardware/software, employee engagement, etc.)
• Assesses and reports Visual Communications metrics to constantly check and adjust alignment to business priorities. • Evaluates emerging trends and best practices, including technology exploration and investment, to ensure that we support the emerging needs of our key stakeholders

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college
• Experience with visual communications disciplines with focus on graphic design, especially marketing and tradeshow implementation
• Proven experience in leading and developing teams
• Experience in collaborating with other disciplines, such as motion design, visual effects, photo, video and/or web
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
Desired Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in visual communications or a related field
• Strong written and verbal communications skills
• Demonstrated skills with strategic/critical thinking, collaboration and detail-oriented actions
• A track record of engagement, creative thinking and problem-solving
• Exceptional relationship-building skills

• Knowledge of the defense/aerospace business sector
• Familiarity with digital asset management tools
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Washington or Washington DC is $82,100 - $157,500. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $94,500 - $178,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
