The Structures Stress Analysis team plays a pivotal role in this mission, embodying a diverse group of highly skilled engineers from mechanical, aerospace, and civil engineering disciplines. Our work supports the design, development, and testing of current and future aeronautic products. What You Will Be Doing
As a Subsystems Stress Analysis Lead for the F-35 fifth generation aircraft, you will lead a team of engineers in incorporating ever-changing new systems into the F-35 platform as well as supporting other cutting-edge aerospace development programs. This position will call upon your expertise in Subsystems Installation Analysis to add systems to the aircraft as well as your experience with Production and Fleet support to correct manufacturing and in-use issues. You will lead a diverse team of engineers on a daily basis to analyze design results that will increase the capability of the aircraft. You will advantage your technical expertise and communication skills to resolve manufacturing issues and to make presentations to the customer.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Collaborate in the design, development, and maturation of subsystems placement and routing within the aircraft.
- Use classical and digital streaming analysis methods, including finite element analysis, to calculate stresses, deflections, and interface loads on subsystems and supporting hardware.
- Assess incoming work requirements to determine schedules and manpower needs.
- Determine work assignments for team members and review progress.
- Provide expert advice in best practices for subsystems to enable efficiencies in the manufacture of legacy platforms as well as enabling development programs. What's In It For You:

Minimum of Bachelor of Science Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Civil Engineering, with an advanced degree preferred. • Subsystems Stress Analysis Engineering Experience (routing, brackets, clamps, fuel tubes, hydraulics, etc.) • Strong ability to communicate effectively with technical teams, customer, and manufacturing personnel. • Experience in leading and developing team members. • Ability to apply engineering principles to solve issues with minimal rework or down time.
Desired Skills:
• Experience with creating and using finite element analysis (Nastran, Patran).
• Experience working with Material Review Board.
• Ability to use CATIA and similar CAD software.
• Familiarity with Product Data Management software.
• Programming ability, including Visual Basic, Python, MATLAB, etc.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
