Job Title: General Foreman – Data Center

Location: Salt Lake City, UT

Department: Operations/Engineering

Reports To: Superintendent / Project Manager

Job Summary:

At Loenbro, we live by the values that foster integrity, quality craftsmanship, and community. The General Foreman is a critical member of the project execution team. Their primary role is assisting the superintendent in field management. While specific duties can vary depending on the project's complexity, common responsibilities include:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee management of all project craft employees.
  • Maintain the construction schedule for the entire project, ensuring its accuracy and relevance throughout the project lifecycle. Ensure a 3-
week look-ahead schedule is developed, monitored and adhered to accordingly.
  • Manage project documentation, including as-builts and testing reports. This involves ensuring all documents are up-to-date and accessible
to relevant team members.
  • Assist in procuring materials and equipment necessary for the project.
  • Ensure that all work meets the required standards and compliances. Assist in the implementation of QA/QC programs.
  • Promote and enforce safety standards on the project site. This includes conducting safety audits, providing safety training to staff, and
ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations. Promptly report any violations of policies, procedures, or safety
guidelines to the appropriate parties. Ensure all employees within the team know and follow the company's safety, work rules, and policies.
  • Facilitate communication between project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and team members. Attend meetings and ensure all
parties are informed of project progress.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • 7 years of experience in electrical trade and preferably in data center construction or other related experience.
  • Experience managing projects with multiple crews and at least 150 craft employees.
  • Proficiency in interpreting and comprehending drawings, submittals, specifications, and BIM detailing is essential for this role.
  • Strong organizational and skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems and industry standards.
  • Commitment to safety and quality.
Work Environment:
  • This position may require travel to various project sites.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing project requirements.
  • Occasional evening and weekend work may be required to meet project deadlines.
Potential Hazards:
  • Outside most of the time
  • Potential exposure to extreme cold and hot temperatures
  • Manufacturing and refining environment
  • Fit and move in confined spaces including tanks and vessels
  • Limited working surfaces
  • Exposure to noise above 85 decibels and intense odors
  • Exposure to areas with limited visibility
  • Climbing up and down stairs and ladders to both get in and out of trenches and up to elevated platforms (scaffolding at significant heights)
  • Lifting necessary equipment and materials 1-50 pounds, 50% of the time on a monthly basis for required tasks
  • Potential or Periodic amounts of time for the following:
  • If driving is required, valid driver license and proof of insurability is required. All drivers are subject to a DMV background records search.
Essential Requirements:
  • Walking on uneven terrain, with an average of 2 miles per day
  • Standing
  • Sit, stoop, crawl, and kneel
  • Use of respirator if position requires
  • Driving if required to travel
