As a Staff Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting our growing accounting team. You will be primarily responsible for preparing and analyzing the company's financial records and compiling statements, executing month-end and year end closing. Job Title: Staff Accountant

Location: Newark, DE

Salary: $50,000 - $55,000 per year (dependable on experience)

Responsibilities

• Process invoices and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Handle all aspects of accounts payable, including price/authorization verification, coding, posting, check generation, and statement reconciliation.
• Analyze and reconcile the general ledger.
• Process and reconcile monthly refunds.
• Maintain records.
• Reconcile and replenish petty cash.
• Assist with month-end closing tasks, including creating and posting journal entries, and conducting reviews.
• Manage daily cash flow, reconcile bank accounts, and post general ledger entries for cash, credit cards, insurance, and ACH deposits.
• Reconcile QuickBooks patient account general ledger with the patient accounting system.
• Generate ad hoc reports as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance is required
• Strong proficiency in Excel is required
• Familiarity with Quickbooks is a plus
• Previous experience in Health Care is preferred but not required
