We are seeking a Billing Specialist to provide support the billing and accounting department. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one to two years of billing experience . This individual will be primarily responsible for billing clients on a monthly basis and generating invoices.

Location: Philadelphia, PA - hybrid
Pay: $25 to $30 per hour

Essential Functions

• Generate and proofread invoices to ensure accuracy before distribution.
• Bill clients monthly on behalf of assigned attorneys using the paperless 3E workflow system.
• Distribute invoices to clients via mail, email, or electronic submission.
• Communicate with assigned attorneys and secretaries to provide updates on the status of monthly billing.
• Assist attorneys and secretaries with billing inquiries.
• Set up electronic billing systems as required.
• Edit time and cost entries based on instructions.
• Update client and matter information within the 3E system.
• Research and resolve details of expenses and credits on client accounts.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Prior experience with billing or other accounting function preferred. Experience with Elite/ 3E or other accounting/billing system preferred.
• Experience in a law firm or other professional service environment a plus.
• Mathematical aptitude and ability to organize/prioritize multiple assignments, work independently on various projects, and meet deadlines.
