SUMMARY
The AM Supervisor holds a dual role within our team, combining the leadership responsibilities of supervising breakfast and lunch service with the hands-on delivery of exceptional guest experiences. This role requires a natural ability to lead by example, ensuring smooth operations while actively engaging with guests to create a welcoming and memorable dining atmosphere.
As a key member of the service team, the AM Supervisor fosters a supportive and collaborative environment, ensuring team members are well-prepared to exceed guest expectations. The ideal candidate is approachable, detail-oriented, and comfortable balancing leadership responsibilities with providing high-touch service. A casual yet polished approach to hospitality, coupled with strong organizational skills, is essential.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise and support the breakfast and lunch service team, ensuring smooth daily operations and adherence to service standards.
- Lead by example by actively serving guests during peak times, delivering an exceptional dining experience with attentiveness and care.
- Engage with guests in a warm, approachable manner, offering recommendations and personalized service to enhance their dining experience.
- Oversee preparation and readiness of stations, ensuring they are maintained and stocked throughout service.
- Assist with beverage preparation, including barista duties, and serve drinks with a focus on quality and presentation.
- Manage guest inquiries and resolve concerns promptly and professionally, maintaining a calm and solution-focused approach.
- Train and mentor team members to uphold service standards and maintain a cohesive and motivated team.
- Monitor and enforce company policies, operational procedures, and health and safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with colleagues to keep the dining area organized, including bussing and resetting tables when needed.
- Ensure take-out orders are prepared and presented with the same care and precision as in-house service.
- Conduct daily pre-shift meetings to communicate goals, updates, and guest-specific notes to the team.
- Actively participate in ongoing professional development to refine supervisory and service skills.
- Build rapport with guests and colleagues, fostering a positive and professional dining environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
- At least two years of experience in a hospitality or restaurant setting, with at least one year in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
- Strong ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and composure.
- Professional appearance and demeanor, with a focus on creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests and colleagues alike.
- Proficiency in basic computer systems, including reservation software, point-of-sale systems, and email.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- A collaborative team player who thrives in a dynamic environment and supports the success of the team.
- Flexibility to perform both supervisory and server duties seamlessly throughout service.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- The environment is dynamic and guest-centered, requiring a balance of leadership, professionalism, and approachability.
- Daytime shifts, including breakfast and lunch service, are a key part of this role, with flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.
- This role requires regular standing, walking, reaching, and light lifting, with the ability to handle weights of up to 25 pounds.

Seasonal Bonus Program:
- All hourly employees will be able to participate in our seasonal bonus program. Each hourly employee will receive $1 per hour worked per season and $1.50 per overtime hour worked. Employees who are terminated or resign from their position before the end of each season, will not be able to participate in this program. If the season is cut short due to business levels, the employee will still participate in this program. Positions that are contracted at a shorter term, like the Outdoor Youth Adventures program, this employee will be able to participate in this program. All hours worked outside of these seasonal ranges will not apply to this bonus program.

Opportunity to move to Full-Time, Regular Status and receive additional benefits.
- If you remain with us for 1 full year and worked a minimum of 1560 hours during our 12-month lookback period (that takes place at the end of each year), you are eligible to move to full-time status. Full-time status means Vacation and Sick pay, medical, dental, life and vision insurance. This will be effective the first of the month following 30 days of your full-time employment hire date or status. The Ranch will pay for 80% of the premiums for employees and any dependents. Employees will be responsible for paying the remaining 20% of the premiums. Payment is deducted automatically from the employee’s semi- monthly paycheck at a pre-taxed rate.
