Key Responsibilities: Assisting the management in ensuring that store operates smoothly and meets its sales targets.
Training, supervising, and evaluating crew members to ensure they are efficient and customer focused.
Enforcing store policies and procedures and addressing any violations.
Planning, preparing, and coordinating daily assignments and activities of crew members to meet the needs of the business. Delegating tasks and following up as necessary
Greeting customers as they enter the store and providing friendly, and efficient service.
Operating the cash register and handling customer transactions accurately and efficiently.
Ensuring that all products are stocked, labeled, and displayed properly.
Restocking shelves and ensuring that products are organized and well-displayed.
Checking expiration dates on products and removing any expired items from shelves well in time.
Checking inventory levels of store, hot grab, cold grab, and bakery, and notifying management or appropriate persons to order and/or refill stations.
Maintaining a clean and tidy store environment by regularly cleaning floors, shelves, and other surfaces.
Checking in vendors and deliveries with the store hand held.
Responding to customer inquiries and complaints and working to resolve any issues in a timely and professional manner.
Maintaining, cleaning, and Stocking the Fountain and Coffee areas.
Managing lottery, lotto, and cash registers, including performing cash management tasks such as opening and closing the till, counting money, and making deposits.
Performing other duties as assigned by management, such as opening or closing the store, reconciling cash drawers, and monitoring security systems.
Passing all certifications and providing updated TABC or Food Handlers Certificate as required.
Informing Line Manager about any unusual happening at the store or act according to SAFETY guidelines.
Updating Line Manager regularly about the store affairs and apprising them of any issues in advance which may hamper smooth functioning of the store.
Requirements:
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in retail, customer service, or related fields.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
