Salary Range:
$15/hour starting and up to $21/hour, based on individual productivity.
Description:
The position of Order Selector fulfills orders for Long Beverage customers. You are responsible for safely moving, picking, and loading our beverage products onto our delivery trucks while using a wide variety of material handling equipment. Excellent time management and customer service skills are required.
Required Qualifications:
Must be at least 18, possess electronic pallet jack experience, possess the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, have excellent customer service and communication skills, professional appearance, and demeanor, possess the ability to perform physical work. Prior distribution warehouse experience preferred. Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 48 pounds repetitively and up to 120 pounds occasionally. Must be able to be on your feet over 8 hours per day. Must be self-motivated, enthusiastic, and positive.
All candidates must consent to pre-employment inquires and tests including criminal background, physical assessment, and drug test.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in the picking of orders and/or the loading of trucks, as necessary. Follow all applicable policies, procedures and ensure a safe, clean, and neat working environment.
- Using a voice-pick system, pull orders from stock, arrange on a pallet according to load specifics. Transport load to wrapping area and wrap load to prevent slippage or breakage in transit.
- Operate all company equipment according to Company and regulatory requirements, keep certification up to date and report all accidents or near accidents to management.
- Maintain clean and organized working area by cleaning and reorganizing while working. Responsible for immediate clean up of all spills and damaged products, reporting same to Management for proper documentation.
- Load orders following safe work habits and safe lifting techniques.
- Perform miscellaneous tasks as directed to support the efficient operation of a warehouse in a dynamic environment.
- All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
