Performs diversified secretarial duties related to a clinical support office

POSITION SUMMARY

Looking for a hardworking and motivated individual with previous experience as a medical secretary ready to start working in a fast-paced environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs diversified clerical / secretarial duties which may include, but are not limited to:
  • Typing various correspondence, reports, etc.
  • Authorizing and booking patient surgery and other related procedures
  • Obtaining patient referrals
  • Insurance verification
  • Scheduling appointments, meetings, etc.
  • Patient check-in and check-out
  • Maintaining files, records, etc.
  • Taking meetings minutes
  • Performing receptionist duties
  • Answering, screening, routing telephone calls, taking, delivering messages
  • Gathering and recording information
  • Filing patient records
  • Collecting payments
  • Preparing patient information and documents
  • Keeping inventory and ordering supplies
  • Performs related duties, as required.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year prior clerical experience in a clinical office setting, required.
  • Extensive insurance eligibility and verification experience, required.
  • Typing 80 wpm.
  • Working knowledge of PC applications, required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.

Bariatric experience preferred, not required.
