Long-Lewis Auto Group is Hiring a Financial Accounting Specialist Near Florence, AL

Job Summary:
We are looking for an enthusiastic & detail-oriented individual to handle administrative and Accounting tasks for a portfolio of non-automotive companies. The Accounting Administrator’s duties will include bank deposits, data entry, general ledger reconciliation and financial report preparation for Management & CPAs. The Administrator will also be responsible for monitoring tasks specific to real estate holdings, including tracking leases, taxes and insurance.

Tasks Include :

Financial Recordkeeping and Analysis for Multiple Companies:

- Transaction Recording: Record financial transactions.

- Journal Entries: Prepare and post entries to the general ledger.

- Management Reports: Analyze balance sheets and income statements for decision-making support.

- Bank Reconciliation: Ensure accuracy by reconciling bank statements.

- Budget Preparation: Assist in budget and financial forecast preparation.

- Fixed Asset Management: Maintain fixed asset register

Administration:

- Licensing: City, county, state, agricultural, and zoning licenses.

- Insurance: Ensure appropriate coverage and track renewal deadlines.

- Taxes: Manage sales tax filing, track Business Personal Property, and Real Property taxes.

- Tracking: Monitor renewals, terms, etc. of leases, contracts, loans, etc.

Software and Technology:

- Computer Literacy: Proficient in navigating Windows operating system.

- Typing: Minimum typing speed of 50 wpm, including proficiency with 10-Key.

- Accounting Software: Familiarity with QuickBooks Desktop preferred.

- Excel: Proficient in creating worksheets and implementing formulas.

- Other: Proactive in adopting new tools for process improvement.

The ideal candidate for this position has at least 2 years experience in an administrative or an accounting role and must be highly organized to stay on top of communication & deadlines. Experience with QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel & Word is required. Recognizing confidentiality in this role is an absolute must. The candidate must be fluent in English and able to engage professionally with Teammates, Management and external parties.

Actual starting pay will be based on skills, talent, and experience.
