Long Shadows Vintners KITCHEN LEAD
The Long Shadows Vintners tasting room in Woodinville, WA is seeking a KITCHEN LEAD to start June 1st. This is an hourly part-time position, Friday-Sunday, from 10 : 30-6 : 30 (5 : 30 on Sunday) with the option to add additional hours on Thursday assisting with back-of-house operations (e.
g. inventory, receiving shipments, operational tasks), for approximately 24-30 hours per week. Pay is $20 per hour. Our team values are fun, collaboration, and hospitality.
Our food program focuses on charcuterie and cheeseboards, prepared in-house from rotating Old- and New World ingredients that complement our flight of premium wines.
We also offer flatbread pizzas sourced from a concept within our company and finished on-site. There is significant room for creative growth in this position.
The KITCHEN LEAD often interacts with chefs and caterers providing services to Long Shadows as part of special and private events.
This position provides excellent room for growth within the food and wine industry at a well-regarded and highly respected legacy winery.
Kitchen Lead Responsibilities :
Minimum qualifications :
High School Diploma or GED
18 years of age or older
Current Class 12 MAST permit (or ability to acquire one before starting)
Food Handler’s permit in King County, WA (or ability to acquire one before starting)
Ability to regularly lift 50 lbs.
Strong organizational, problem-solving skills.
Solid time management skills and the ability to prioritize job duties.
Ability to see tasks through to completion.
Adaptability, flexibility, and independently motivated.
Desire to learn, driven by curiosity and creativity.
Preferred qualifications :
21 years of age or older
Culinary training, or equivalent experience in commercial kitchens.
Knowledge of red, white, and rosé wines, and wine / food pairings.
Experience with elevated presentation of menu items.
Front of house experience and the ability to interact with guests in the tasting room.
Previous experience working in the wine industry, or current enrollment in a professional course of study related to wine.
