Longmont Area Chamber of Commerce is Hiring an Event Coordinator Near Longmont, CO

Position Person:

  • Develops, plans, and executes Chamber events, managing all logistical and operational aspects.
  • Supports membership engagement through dynamic programming, and constantly evolving and growing events that align with the needs of businesses.
  • Builds on longstanding relationships, ensuring that key stakeholders and new members of the community have opportunities to engage and support the Longmont Chamber’s mission.

The Longmont Chamber is seen as the go-to event and community connection organization in the Longmont area. Our events bring people together, foster connection, and continually raise the bar on what it means to host a meaningful and fun event.

Scope of Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for planning and executing Chamber events. Coordinate all aspects of event planning, from conceptualization to execution, venue selection, catering, scheduling, and logistics management.
  • Proactively builds relationships with vendors, suppliers, stakeholders, and economic partners ensuring seamless coordination, customer service, and collaboration.
  • Enhances attendee experience at events, focusing on a data-driven approach to garner feedback and integrating it into future events.
  • Manage a strong connection with volunteer Ambassadors and community members who make our events possible, fostering a culture of appreciation.
  • Works closely with the Membership Director on including new and current members in our events in a way that is meaningful for the member business.
  • Works closely with the Business Development Director to seamlessly integrate sponsors into events and ensure their recognition; takes ownership of caring for the sponsors pivotal to event success.
  • Works closely with the Communications Director on event marketing and messaging.
  • Works closely with the Office Administrator on event invoicing and ensures timely and appropriate payment and remittance of event expenses.
  • Responsible for meeting or exceeding budget income goals for all events and works with the CEO on future budgeting for events.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 5 years of event production and organization experience preferred
  • Professional written and verbal communication
  • Strong customer service, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Proactive, constantly looking for new opportunities
  • Self-motivated and passionate about building community
  • Ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects with overlapping deadlines
  • Excellent computer literacy and efficiencies
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, Mailchimp, and Canva. Familiarity with Airtable, WordPress, and social media is a plus
  • Must have a reliable vehicle and a valid driver’s license
  • Ability to carry 40 lbs

Pay: $43,000.00 - $48,000.00 per year
