Lorain County Community College is Hiring a Part-Time Assistant Coach Men's Basketball Near Elyria, OH

Job Description
Reporting to the Athletic Director, under the supervision of the Head Men's Basketball Coach, the Assistant Coach's duties will include assisting with all aspects of the Varsity Men's Basketball Program. Incumbent must have effective leadership skills and working knowledge of Varsity Sport rules and regulations. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to: assisting with recruiting potential players, training and coaching members of the men's basketball program following all NJCAA rules and regulations, including but not limited to those that involve recruitment, eligibility, and practice limits; assisting in scouting and preparing for opponents and game strategies; assisting with coordinating development and promotion of athletics and academics; working in conjunction with the Head Coach and Athletic Director to assist student-athletes in maintaining their athletic eligibility, including following up on study table attendance; assist with organizing and scheduling practice sessions; traveling to and from away contests with the team and be in attendance at all home games; assist with administrative tasks including eligibility paperwork required for each student-athlete, stats input, uniform distribution and collection, and budget adherence; representing LCCC in a professional manner; maintaining current CPR and AED certification; and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications: Thorough knowledge of the concepts, principles and practices of coaching basketball; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with head coach, students, staff, faculty, administrator and other members of the college community.
Preferred Qualifications: Associate degree, coaching experience, within the last five years at the high school or collegiate level, and/or intercollegiate basketball playing experience.
