The Los Alamos Public Schools student intern program is meant to give students the opportunity to work in departments that offer them real experience in various fields, to include but not limited to facilities, human resources, business services and technology.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist with grounds, custodial, painting and school up keep for the summer.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE: Current student in good standing
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret information from the intern’s department.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to learn mathematical skills as they pertain to the department.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly is required to sit, walk and stand; have manual and finger dexterity; stoop, and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to climb stairs, heights, and ladders. The employee is occasionally required to crawl, reach above shoulder level, crouch, kneel, balance, push/pull, and carry. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds individually and up to 100 pounds with the assistance of another person or appropriate equipment.
