SummaryAssist in the pre-preparation of food products. Prepares meats, fish, vegetables, cold items and hot items when and where assigned. Obtain and prepare necessary ingredients to be successful. Clean food-preparation equipment, utensils and work areas. Prepares and organizes and breaks down action stations for banquet services. Maintains the highest quality product possible, even when working under pressure Standardize, maintain, and continuously improve quality to meet member satisfaction.

  • Completes assigned tasks on time and correctly.
  • Has good work attendance in accordance with club policies.
  • Performs all tasks with a level of quality and excellence to the club standards.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Reports to work in a clean uniform at posted scheduled times.
  • Setup and ensure that your station is ready to serve fifteen minutes prior to lunch and dinner service.
  • Prepares a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and a variety of other kitchen equipment.
  • Stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products at line stations to promote a smooth service period.
  • Cover, date and correctly store all mise en place for your station.
  • Keep meat walk-in swept and mopped, ice the fish at the end of every service.
  • Any proteins within the meat walk-in that are associated with your station should be properly rotated and stored by the end of every shift.
  • Prepares and plates banquet foods and appetizers when needed.
  • Works action stations during banquet service.
  • Maintains a safe, clean and sanitary work area.
  • Notifies Sous Chef in advance of all expected shortages.
  • Check in with Sous Chef at beginning of shift for instructions.
  • Inform management of any problems concerning food quality or production control.
  • At the end of the shift, clean entire station, including reach-ins and shelves, etc. Ensure all unnecessary food is returned to walk-in on proper shelf.
  • Check out with Sous Chef; keep walk-in clean and organized at all times.
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays as well as overtime.
  • All other duties as assigned.

  • Kitchen, refrigerators, freezers, indoors, and outdoors. This role is a mix of standing and sitting and works in varied environments with varied temperatures, surfaces, and equipment.
Physical Requirements
  • Required to stand for long periods and walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch and twist or reach.
  • Push, pull or lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Continuous repetitive motions.
  • Work in hot, humid and noisy environment.

Education And/or Experience
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Have a High School diploma or GED.
  • Previous hospitality industry cooking experience preferred
Licenses and Special Permits
  • Food safety certification.
