Position SummaryWe are seeking a Trainer with2-4 years of experience to join our team. This is a hybrid-based position with a minimum of 2 days in the Van Nuys office required and supports all facets of the day-to-day operations and/or projects within the Learning and Development department.
This position collaborates with HR and the broader associate population to support a wide range of projects and initiatives touching our corporate and branch workforce population alike and will be focused on streamlining processes and providing exceptional service to all associates.]
What You’ll DoProject and Program Management
  • Partner with the Learning and Development team across learning initiatives, including, but not limited to onboarding, professional development, LMS management, policy development, performance development, and technical skills.
  • Provide operational and program management support across learning initiatives, including:
    • Program planning
    • Program design
    • Document management
    • Effective communication, planning and execution
    • Session or learning content facilitation
    • Vendor management
    • Feedback design and analysis
  • Develop proposals and formal recommendations regarding potential future learning programs and strategies.
Instructional Design and Learning Content Development
  • Utilize industry best practices, approaches, and research skills to design and create impactful learning program content and materials.
  • Leverage learning technologies to design and develop eLearning and video content and programs.
  • Comfortability in creating learning modules, videos, and webinars on camera.
  • Curate and produce supplementary learning content to support learning content.
Additional Duties
  • Assist Learning and Development team members within the onboarding program.
  • Assist in administrative duties and tasks within the Learning Management System.
  • Assess training needs through surveys, interviews with employees, and consulting with leaders.
  • Design and create training manuals, online learning modules, learning videos, and course materials.
  • Track emerging talent development trends and technologies and identify opportunities to leverage internally.
  • Review training materials from a variety of sources and choose appropriate materials.
  • Deliver training to employees using a variety of instructional techniques.
  • Assist in the evaluation of training programs.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as monitoring costs, scheduling classes, setting up systems and equipment, and coordinating enrollment.
Minimum QualificationsA minimum of 2-4 years of experience as a Trainer in a fast-paced environment.
Education and Certificates/LicensesA minimum education of high school education or GED
Completion of a two-year college degree or commensurate work experience.

Technical Skills
  • Experience in scripting, recording, and editing video communication, presentations, and training.
  • Experience in uncovering opportunities for process improvement, creation of workflows, and leveraging technology in creating efficiencies within the team and business.
  • Intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience in effectively navigating and conducting internet research.
  • Familiarity with Learning and Development tools and philosophies such as:
    • ADDIE / SAM
    • Kirkpatrick Model
    • Adult learning theories
  • Experience in using SharePoint a plus
  • Experience with Articulate Rise a plus
  • Experience with Absorb LMS a plus

This position involves primarily non-manual labor. Reliable, predictable, on-time attendance is essential, particularly to assure duties are fulfilled. The associate will spend most of the working time sitting, standing or walking, including significant time using computers. Position requires repetitive hand movements, the daily ability to focus on several tasks at one time, analyze data and draw conclusions, quickly and accurately perform mathematical computations, analyze and explain complex information, communicate frequently with others in person, over the phone, via electronic communications, and in group presentations. The associate must be able to travel regularly among the branches supervised. The position may include occasional lifting of up to 15 lbs.
