CLOSING BARBACK/BUSSER

We are looking for a Closing Barback/Busser to work at the beautiful and active bar at Johnny's West Adams in the West Adams area of Los Angeles (east of Culver City)! Johnny's West Adams is a local LA favorite and often features DJs inside the bar area and live bands outside, with an incredible specialty cocktail, beer, and wine menu. Johnny's bar also features food from the historic Johnny's Pastrami food stand, which brings hundreds of guests to the location each day.

We are looking for someone who loves helping out the team and working in a fast-paced and fun environment. The current shifts available are Friday and Saturday nights, with shifts going as late as 1am, but there is also the potential for more shifts on other days when special events are booked on property.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with bar/beverage preparation per the bartenders' need.
• Assist with bussing tables of trash and glassware.
• Assist with cleaning glassware behind the bar.
• Follow established safety and sanitation procedures for food and beverage handling and preparation.
• Monitor inventory levels and ingredient shortages and out-of-stocks.
• Complete all assigned housekeeping and property maintenance tasks in a timely and efficient manner.

Experience:

• Be a fast learner, self-motivated, and reliable.
• Have proven work experience in casual dining restaurants or the food service industry.
• Maintain a calm demeanor during periods of high volume.
• Food Handlers/Safe Serv certification required after hire.
• Be able to carry up to 50 lbs. and stand for at least 6 hours during a shift.
• Excellent References.
