LOS Outreach Services, LLC is Hiring an Intensive In-Home Counselor QMHP-C (Community Based Services) Near Chesterfield, VA

Overview: We are seeking a qualified QMHP (Qualified Mental Health Professional) to join our team. As a QMHP, you will be responsible for providing counseling and support services to individuals with developmental disabilities and behavioral health needs. Responsibilities: - Conduct patient assessments to determine individual needs and develop treatment plans - Provide individual and group counseling sessions using evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, and art therapy - Assist individuals in crisis management situations, providing support and guidance - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care for clients - Utilize behavioral therapy techniques to address challenging behaviors and promote positive change - Offer addiction counseling services to individuals struggling with substance abuse issues - Monitor progress and evaluate treatment effectiveness, adjusting interventions as needed - Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client interactions and treatment plans Qualifications: - Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field - Valid licensure or certification as a QMHP in the state of employment - Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and behavioral health needs - Strong knowledge of behavioral health theories, interventions, and best practices - Proficiency in conducting patient assessments and developing treatment plans - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Ability to work effectively in a team setting and collaborate with other professionals Skills: - Motivational interviewing - Crisis management - Cognitive behavioral therapy - Working with people with developmental disabilities - Behavioral health knowledge - Behavioral therapy techniques - Addiction counseling - Patient assessment - Individual and group counseling skills - Art therapy We offer competitive compensation packages, including benefits such as health insurance, paid time off, and professional development opportunities. Job Type: Contract

Pay: $21.00 - $25.14 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 45 per week
