About the Company

LOS TACOS No. 1 is an expanding restaurant group with multiple locations in Manhattan serving Mexican tacos in a vibrant atmosphere. The company started after three close friends from Tijuana, Mexico and Brawley, CA realized the need for truly authentic Mexican tacos on the East Coast. The company is passionate about making every guest at LOS TACOS No. 1 feel like they have been transported to Mexico when they step into our restaurants.

Position Overview:

As a Catering Manager at Los Tacos No. 1, you will be responsible for the seamless coordination, guest relations, and ultimate performance of our catering services. Your role will encompass efficient and prompt communication, delivering a superior customer experience, and ensuring the success of every catering event.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Event Coordination: Ensure all event information is up to date and detailed for all involved parties.
  • Team Briefings: Conduct meetings with the Operations Team to discuss, plan, and coordinate upcoming events and catering requests.
  • Logistics Management: Review menu options, logistics, labor, event floorplans, pack lists, and rental equipment to ensure success.
  • Staff Communication: Communicate standards and expectations to all event staff across multiple simultaneous catering activations.
  • Menu Creation: Develop menus for Catering and Subscription partners, facilitating communication with customers and the Los Tacos No. 1 team.
  • Event Execution: Oversee the setup and execution of events, often acting as central command to ensure success by coordinating all moving pieces.
  • Team Management: Proactively manage teams by staying up to date on all operational details, managing employees related to event coordination, and driving solutions to issues as they arise.
  • Customer Relations: Maintain and grow established customer relationships while generating new ones.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 2 years of experience in F&B, Catering, or Event Management with a proven track record of success 1 year leadership experience.
  • Skills: Technology and data-driven with excellent communication, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Catering Knowledge: Experience preparing BEOs, proposals, and event orders, and executing on budget with high client satisfaction.
  • Analytical Abilities: Fluent in understanding recurring sales reports and utilizing data to optimize performance.
  • Communication: Excellent phone skills, adaptable, and presentable for a variety of clients. Bilingual (English / Spanish) preferred, but not mandatory.
  • Independence: Ability to function independently with a high level of communication and interaction with management and customers.
  • Collaboration: Experience partnering with general managers and logistics teams to coordinate and execute events.
  • Brand Awareness: Ability to build, develop, and promote brand and catering service awareness.
  • Performance Reporting: Experience communicating objectives, KPI performance vs. goals, and action plans to multiple stakeholders and teams.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
