We are seeking a motivated Diesel Technician Apprentice to join our team at Lou Bachrodt Automotive Group. As a Diesel Technician Apprentice, you will work alongside experienced technicians to learn the ins and outs of diesel engine maintenance, repair, and diagnostics. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about diesel engines and eager to kick-start their career in the automotive industry.

Responsibilities:

• Assist experienced technicians in performing routine maintenance tasks on diesel engines, including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks.
• Learn to diagnose and troubleshoot diesel engine issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Assist in repairing and rebuilding diesel engines, fuel systems, and exhaust systems under the guidance of experienced technicians.
• Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the workshop area.

Requirements

•  High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a recognized technical training program in diesel technology is preferred.
• Strong interest in diesel engines and mechanical systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
• Basic understanding of automotive systems and components is preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Physical stamina and dexterity to perform manual tasks, lift heavy components, and work in various weather conditions.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
