As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise within the warehouse. Duties:
- Operate various types of forklifts including Cherry picker, Reach truck, Clamp truck, and Hi-Lo to handle materials and products
- Perform basic math calculations to verify quantities and ensure accurate inventory management
- Adhere to OSHA guidelines and safety protocols while operating heavy equipment
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to inspect and maintain forklifts in good working condition
- Navigate Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to track inventory movement and storage locations
- Assist in heavy lifting tasks as required to load and unload materials from trucks or storage areas
Experience:
- Prior experience in heavy equipment operation, particularly with forklifts, is preferred
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and operate forklifts safely in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in basic math skills for inventory tracking and order fulfillment
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to forklift operation
- Strong mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot minor issues with the equipment
