**Purpose**

The ***PACE** **Pipe*** ***Laborer*** is responsiblefor safely performing a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor in heavy construction projects.

**Job Responsibilities**

* Perform manual work in preparing surfaces for pipe work.

* May operate a variety of hand and power tools.

* Excavate and fill trenches and ditches.

* Clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, set braces to support the sides of excavations, erect scaffolding, clean up rubble and debris and remove waste materials.

* Maintain a clean job site, pick up all tools and equipment and secure job site each day to eliminate potential hazards.

* Perform materials handling and storage, load and unload trucks and hauls and hoists materials.

**Education and Experience**

* Previous experience in construction work or an equivalent preferred.

* Some knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies used in heavy/highway construction work preferred.

**Skills and Specifications**

* Experience cutting pipe to jobsite specifications.

* Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule.

* Ability to lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions.

* Strong communication and collaboration skills. Experience working effectively in a team environment.

**Sign on bonus dispersed in three installments over the course of the first 180 days of employment. Applicable taxes and withholdings will apply. A rehired Team Member must have a termination date greater than two (2) years for a referral bonus to apply. Team Member will not be eligible if he/she has received disciplinary action or unexcused absences during the increment period. Eligible candidates for sign on bonus must be hired between March 15th 2021 and April 5th 2021.*
