- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum and lesson plans that promote the overall development of children
- Create engaging and simulating learning activates, including art, music, storytelling, imaginative play, and group activities, to enhance children's cognitive and social skills.
- Observe and assess children's progress, behaviors, and milestones, maintaining records and sharing observations with parents/guardians to support individualized learning and development plans.
- Assist children with daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and diaper changes ensuring their needs are met with care and sensitivity
- Communicate regularly and effectively with parents/guardians, providing updates on their child's activities, progress and any concerns or achievements
- Implement behavior management strategies and promote positive social interactions among children
- Attend professional development opportunities and stay updated on current trends and research in early childhood education
- Collaborate with other teachers and school personnel to create a healthy and safe learning environment
- Report and document behavioral incidents
- Associate's and/or Bachelor’s degree or higher and state teaching certification
- Previous experience working in a daycare, preschool, or early childhood education setting is advantageous
- Understanding of child development principles and best practices in education and classroom management
- Knowledge of classroom health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and ability to closely adhere to the guidelines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
