A Research Assistant I position is currently available in Dr. Andrew Mayers laboratory at The Mind Research Network. A bachelors degree in psychology, neuroscience, computer science or a related field is preferred. A minimum of 1 year of post-graduate work in a related field is also preferred. Those with experience in clinical assessments and/or neuroimaging are strongly encouraged to apply.

Primary duties include working with a research team on a national project to understand brain growth and development in infants. Primary duties include participant recruiting, data collection (MRI and EEG) and data entry. Individuals with a background and experience in working directly with infants is therefore strongly preferred. The job will also require flexible hours including some evenings and nights to accommodate data acquisition and other related duties as needed for scanning infants and young children (approximately 2-3 per week). As this position involves working as part of a research team, as well as working with sensitive populations, applicants should have strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 2 years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been attained.

Requires strong interpersonal and communication skills.

May interact with research participants.
