Qualifications: Must have a high school diploma or GED. Previous medical and/or clerical experience is preferred but not required.

Job duties: 

• Greet all patients with a smile.
• Obtain all insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, other billing addresses and make copies of cards.
• Update patient demographics at each visit.
• Direct patients to the proper office for screening into the Sliding Pay Program.
• Notify nursing staff of any patient that enters the building who exhibits problems with shortness of breath, chest pain, bleeding, or any other symptom that is considered an emergency.
• Become cross-trained in all front office duties to provide coverage.
• Keep copies of all sign-in sheets and work/school excuses on file.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of all protected health information.
• Assist in answering incoming calls.
• Assist in making patient appointments and locating existing appointments for patients.
• Attend training workshops and continuing education as instructed by your supervisor.
• Schedules medical appointments for RW patients.
• Communicates with RW Medical Case Management staff to facilitate appointment attendance.
• Collects and Reports RW Data to RW Director.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
