Senior Project Manager - Control Systems Engineering

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Project Manager with a strong background in control systems engineering and design. This role is integral to successfully managing projects in the refining and chemical industries, ranging from $50,000 to $2,000,000 in value. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Distributed Control Systems (DCS) such as Emerson DeltaV, Honeywell Experion, and Rockwell, and must possess the leadership qualities necessary to guide teams to meet quality, budget, and schedule objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead control systems engineering projects, focusing on instrument specification, field instrument installation, P&ID development, and control system configuration. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
• Maintain consistent and proactive communication with clients to ensure their needs and concerns are fully understood and addressed. Build strong client relationships to facilitate successful project outcomes.
• Provide leadership and guidance to engineering and design teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
• Lead by example in adhering to all safety policies and procedures, promoting a culture of safety within the team and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Implement and follow rigorous QA/QC processes to meet both company and client quality standards. Ensure that all project deliverables exceed expectations.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 10 years in project management within control systems engineering, particularly in brownfield revamps and upgrades in the refining and chemical sectors.
• Extensive experience with DCS systems, including hands-on management of design, testing, and startup phases. Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in control systems engineering is essential.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams with a focus on quality, budget, and schedule objectives. Proven capability to mentor and develop team members.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, stakeholders, and team members at all levels.
• Strong analytical skills with a track record of identifying issues and implementing effective solutions.
• Ability to travel up to 25% as required by project needs.
