What You’ll Do

The Sr Director, AI Strategy will establish and drive the enterprise AI products strategy and strategic AI roadmap for the company. You will influence and guide executive leadership through accelerating the adoption and implementation of AI products into key initiatives. You will collaborate and co-develop bespoke AI demonstrations, business cases (ROI) and presentations that establish the strategic AI roadmap for the company.

• Industry Subject Matter: You know the industry vocabulary, current regulatory and compliances context, associated with data privacy, security and ethical considerations.
• Researches and understands market trends and expectations in AI developments across the retail landscape to better inform and influence the AI strategy. Champions the core AI strategy and roadmap updates to influence executive leadership to adopt and implement AI products into key initiatives.
• Drives AI sales enablement and productivity objectives and key results in partnership with finance and business domain leaders. Advises on AI related risks in partnership with legal and internal audit teams.
• Builds AI adoption and change management strategy with input and guidance from internal stakeholders and external consultants. Executes AI change management strategy with prioritized AI initiatives in partnership with various AI enabled product teams and data/AI platform teams.

Experience You’ll Bring

• Leading the development of AI/ML strategies and solutions, including Advanced AI (i.e. Generative AI, Natural Language Processing, Computer Visioning, LLMs, etc.)
• Experience in data & analytics, software engineering, or another relevant technical field
• Leadership experience with direct report responsibility
• Deep industry experience, preferably in Retail
• Strong business acumen with ability to articulate AI benefits to senior executives.
• Strong collaborator who enjoys working in a multi-discipline environment to develop the most comprehensive and effective AI strategies and solutions.
• Thought leader on the potential of AI as well as the challenges and limitations of real-world AI implementations.
• Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and rapid change

Required Qualifications:

• 12 years of IT experience
• 8 years of experience managing AI solution development and implementation
• 5 years of experience in developing and influencing enterprise technology strategy
• 5 years of leadership experience with direct report responsibility
• Bachelor's degree in science, technology, engineering, math, or related field (or equivalent experience in lieu of degree)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a leadership role in a large matrixed, retail organization
• Experience in retail industry
• Experience working with large AI technology partners on AI focused efforts
• Master's degree in science, technology, engineering, math, or related field
