LOWES is Hiring a Sr. Director, Marketing & Merchandising Near Mooresville, NC

The Sr. Director, Marketing & Merchandising is responsible for leading the Lowe's Pro Supply marketing, merchandising, and purchasing functions. This role will manage a dynamic team of procurement professionals, merchandising product managers and creative services personnel to develop creative strategies and support continued growth.

Lead marketing, merchandising and purchasing programs nationally. Assess department structure and build to accommodate the needs of a growing business.

Develop a creative direction and strategies to drive sales. Also ensure the translation of those strategies to the successful execution of marketing plans to achieve sales and inventory goals.

Execute on key seasonal events, counter attack strategies, collateral, pricing and promotion strategies.

Coordinate with Sales & Operations leaders to understand the needed tools to execute marketing plans.

Recognize and surface competitive trends to target key industry and local market opportunities.

Ensure the marketing team pursues innovative approaches to product selection, promotional strategies and pricing strategies.

Identify and manage procurement risks to minimize negative impacts on organizational objectives while encouraging opportunity.

Establish performance standards and evaluation processes to assess and report on procurement activity in terms of progress, results, customer satisfaction, value and cost.

Budget management for categories under management and for procurement itself.

Ensure the merchandising team proactively identifies new potential vendor relationships, maintains existing vendor relations, successfully negotiates profitable contracts, and holds vendors accountable to agreed service levels.

Utilize financial reporting to understand specific levers that influence the P&L and ensure long-term financial goals are met.

Manage the skills and competency development of staff, including training and development and knowledge management capabilities.

Ensures alignment with Lowe’s merchandising and marketing strategies and executes opportunities to bring Lowe’s capabilities to MSH customers.
