We seek a dynamic and dedicated, faith-filled qualified leader who is able to embody and advance the mission of the school as an apostolic work of the Society of Jesus and serve as the Director of Philanthropic Events. The Director of Philanthropic Events will play a crucial role in fostering community engagement and support for our school through the planning and execution of key fundraising events, including The Ramble, The President's Dinner, and oversight of The Rambler Parent Organization. This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional organizational skills, a passion for philanthropy, ability to engage a robust volunteer network and to collaborate effectively with all constituents.
Key Responsibilities
  • Event Planning and Execution:
    • Lead the planning and execution of the Ramble and The President's Dinner, ensuring seamless coordination of logistics, programming, and guest experience.
    • Develop and implement comprehensive event timelines, budgets, and strategies to achieve fundraising goals.
    • Oversee all aspects of event production, including venue selection, catering, entertainment, marketing, and communications.
  • Financial Management:
    • Manage the budget for each event, including expense tracking, cost analysis, and revenue projections.
    • Work closely with the Director of Advancement to set fundraising targets and develop strategies to maximize revenue generation.
  • Donor Cultivation and Stewardship:
    • Lead the Advancement team’s efforts to identify and cultivate relationships with key volunteers.
    • Ensure timely and personalized acknowledgment of gifts and contributions, maintaining strong relationships with donors and supporters.
  • Volunteer Engagement:
    • Recruit, train, and coordinate volunteers for event planning committees, ensuring diverse representation and engagement from the Loyola Academy community.
    • Foster a collaborative and supportive environment for volunteers, providing guidance, resources, and recognition for their contributions.
  • Rambler Parent Organization Oversight:
    • Serve as the primary liaison between the Rambler Parent Organization and the school administration, facilitating communication, collaboration, and alignment of goals.
    • Support the Rambler Parent Organization in its efforts to engage parents, promote school spirit, and enhance the overall student experience.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate volunteers, donors, and stakeholders effectively.
  • Experience in event planning, fundraising, or nonprofit management, with a proven track record of success in organizing large-scale events and achieving fundraising targets.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in budget management, financial analysis, and fundraising software/tools.
  • Commitment to the mission and values of Loyola Academy, with a passion for Catholic education and philanthropy.
