Our Fresno and Monterey offices are currently seeking an attorney for our facilities and business practice group. The ideal candidate will have related experience and a strong interest in supporting school districts in the areas of business, construction, development, and real property. Prior transactional or litigation experience representing school districts and/or public agencies is a plus, as is familiarity with the California Environmental Quality Act.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide legal advice on matters related to public agency and education law.
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, and prepare legal documents.
• Collaborate with clients and provide strategic guidance on legal issues.
• Stay current on legal developments and provide training to clients.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active member of the California State Bar.
• Minimum of 2 years of practicing experience, preferably with a focus on public agency and school district matters.
• Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Knowledge of California public agency and employment/education laws.
