LPM Holding is Hiring a Chef Manager in Training Near Hartford, CT

IMMEDIATE OPENING

This Position is Paid at a Salary rate of $22 per hour Monday - Thursday

A growing corporate dining group is seeking Chef Manager in Training (MIT) Candidates.

Qualified individuals must have strong communication and organizational skills and have a track record as an enthusiastic, organized, and responsible professional who can manage the general operations of the account. Passion for food quality, hospitality and financial accountability are a must.

As a MIT you will train with top managers in the Hartford Area (Hartford, East & West Hartford, Berlin etc), to take the role of a Unit Chef-Manager at a location in Hartford, CT. Chef Managers are responsible for Daily operations, Financials and will run stations such as entrée, breakfast/lunch grill, deli, salad bar, caterer or cashier as needed.

Most Operations are open Monday - Friday with NO NIGHTS,WEEKENDS, OR HOLIDAYS. This location is Monday - Thursday 6am- 2:30pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • As a Culinary/Back of House Manager in Training (MIT), you will gain preparation for a potential future role within our culinary leadership team
  • Through training, you will learn the best practices and company standards, and facilitate these practices within areas which may include, but are not limited to: menu planning, budgeting, purchasing and supply chain, hiring, training, payroll, profit and loss, and more
  • Manage all financials including budget, P&L, and financial reporting
  • Plan and create menus including corporate promotions
  • Purchase and manage inventory
  • Act as direct client contact

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Food service degree preferred
  • 2-3 Years Food Service Management experience
  • Culinary and catering knowledge
  • Budgeting & P&L experience with cost controls
  • Ability to adapt, learn and grow with a growing company

Must have at least 2 years of experience working in a sizable and busy dining establishment as a chef, responsibilities will include overseeing service; interviewing, hiring and training of the staff; payroll management; marketing and special events; community outreach, resolving guest issues; setting goals; developing plans, and managing all day to day operations of the account. P & L reconciliation, inventory control and strong hands on POS experience are a must.This is a full time, guest/client contact position.

The company is offering a competitive salary as well as benefits BOE. This Position is Hourly Monday - Thursday to Start. Possibility of Monday - Friday after training as well as pay increases based on performance
